August 2026 Reading

The Book of Luke by Lovell Holder

I’m not a huge fan of reality competition shows, so the machinations of the challenges went over my head. But the relationship dynamics between the contestants made for a fun and spicy read. 3.75/5

Sitcom by Chuck Lorre

Chuck does not hold back in this dishy behind the scenes look at one of the most prolific careers in TV history. He easily threw many celebs and collaborators under the bus! 4/5

Etna by Paul Yoon

Having read OPEN THROAT, I wasn’t as moved by the fact this book is told through the point of view of a wandering animal. That being said, it makes for a sweet yet sad read. 3.75/5

Five by Ilona Bannister

This one surprised me. I was expecting a standard whodunit mystery and was pleasantly treated to a deep dive into each of the five main characters and how they arrived at the climactic point of the book. 4.5/5
